Michalek Brothers Racing Wins "Search for a Champion" Contest!

Every great success in life has a story behind it and this is the story of the unimaginable support system that you all united to be to help Michalek Brothers Racing chase our dream.

Back in 2008 we sat down and laid out plans for the steps that we needed to take in order to one day make it and race professionally together. We knew that the road ahead would be long and that securing the funds to do so would be extremely difficult. However, we knew that if we were given proper financial support we could make the most of the opportunity. This contest was OUR opportunity, and it will be the catalyst that moves us forward towards our goal!

It is with great pleasure and tremendous pride to inform you that Michalek Brothers Racing has been named the Grand Prize Winner of the inaugural Champion Spark Plugs "Search For A Champion" contest! After several long months of voting and battling through eliminations against hundreds of entries, we have finished on top!

First and foremost, it is with heartfelt gratitude that we say thank you to our friends and family for your incredible outpouring of support and encouragement throughout the contest. Although only one-third of the judging was based on fan votes, your loyalty and support was noticed by the sponsor and it resulted in our entry closing out the contest on top in both views and comments. Bar none, we could not have done this without you.

Next, we would like to extend a massive thank you to the team from Champion that allowed racers from across the country to have an opportunity to land the financial backing that is necessary to chase our dreams. On top of that, this contest was so much more than the money. It created a virtual platform for us to showcase who we are, where we've been, and where we want to go.

We look forward to working with the Champion team and building a successful relationship as we move forward. We will represent you and your brand's rich history to the highest standards. This summer marks the next chapter in our racing careers. Starting now through late fall, we will be racing our car as well as traveling from coast-to-coast to perform our duties as pit crew members on Pat Dakin's NHRA Top-Fuel Dragster. The additional funding will allow us to campaign our car at larger events and take it out of state for the first time this year.

Lastly, we would like to extend personal congratulations to Erik Miller, Kyle Sackett, Chad Crawford, and Jim Cebulski, the 4 other finalists in the competition. We were thrilled to be recognized with such talented and qualified entrants and we wish all of you, as well as all of the original participants, the best of luck in your upcoming seasons!

Once again, we cannot express how thankful we are for your continued support. We always knew we had the best support group and now because of your help, everyone else knows it too! You guys have done your part, now it's our turn. See you at the track!
