Michalek Brothers Racing to Run Champion Spark Plugs Paint Scheme at Norwalk Regional Event

Federal-Mogul brand partners Fel-Pro, Sealed Power, and Speed Pro to be featured as well

Excitement continues to build at Michalek Brothers Racing as the team prepares for their first NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in the Top Alcohol Dragster class at Norwalk, OH from May 17-19. During this event, the MBR A/fuel dragster will proudly feature primary branding from Champion Spark Plugs as well as associate signage from Federal Mogul brand partners Fel-Pro, Sealed Power, and Speed Pro.

The clean red and black lines of the car will complement the iconic bow tie brand mark that automotive enthusiasts from around the world have come to know and love during Champion’s storied history. Kyle is fired up to be piloting the Champion Spark Plugs A/fuel dragster for his competition debut.

“Corey and the team at Champion designed a great looking car and I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to represent Champion in front of our family and friends at our home race track. It is an honor to have the Champion bow tie front and center on our race car during such an important weekend for the team,” stated Kyle.

In addition to Champion Spark Plugs, the MBR A/fuel dragster will proudly feature associate signage from Federal Mogul brand partners Fel-Pro, Sealed Power, and Speed Pro.

Aside from the primary and associate sponsor logo branding on the car, the paint scheme will also feature one of MBR’s greatest racing accomplishments to date: a decal commemorating the team’s 2012 Search for a Champion contest victory. The Search for a Champion contest will return for it’s third straight year this fall and Champion will be awarding 15 racing sponsorships totaling $125,000 to aspiring racers. When it’s all said and done, one lucky winner will walk away with the Grand Prize sponsorship of $50,000. This contest is one of the primary contributing factors that has allowed MBR to make the jump to the Top Alcohol Dragster class.

We are proof that dreams do come true and that is what the Search for a Champion contest is all about.

“It is a great opportunity for any up-and-coming racer to begin to think about personal promotion and marketing strategy while creating an enjoyable narrative about their racing aspirations,” said Kyle.

The team will begin their race weekend at Norwalk with one qualifying pass on Friday night followed by two more passes Saturday evening with eliminations to follow on Sunday afternoon. Stop by the MBR pit throughout the weekend to say hi to the team and pick up some Champion themed giveaways.
